Dr. Amy Loden joined Consultants in Women’s Healthcare in July, 2018. She is a graduate of Missouri State University where she graduated with honors in 2006 with a Bachelors of Science before attending the University of Missouri School of Medicine, where she graduated with honors in 2010. She completed her internship at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas and her residency at Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City. As an internist, she is an expert in adult medicine and focuses her practice mostly on women ages 18-59. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Loden is a native of Missouri and has lived in Saint Louis since 2013. She is well known in the community for her passion to provide preventive postpartum care for women with pregnancies affected by diabetes, high blood pressure or obesity in pregnancy as well as anxiety or depression or sleep disorders during and after pregnancy. She also works in close collaboration with the OB team to maximize maternal health and provides primary care for women before, during and after pregnancy. Dr. Loden brings with her a strong focus on preventive medicine for women in their reproductive and midlife years. Additionally, she is a NAMS certified menopause practitioner and helps midlife women optimize their cardiovascular, metabolic, bone, mental and sexual health through this transition.
Her caring bedside manner enables her patients to be comfortable and reassured that their medical care is being fully addressed and their concerns resolved. She is enthusiastic about helping patients obtain convenient, high value medical care whether in person or in more innovative ways such as virtual care. She believes the patient is a significant and important team member and leverages them in their own care as much as possible.
